Real Frequency offers college consulting scholarships
An Inland Northwest consulting business is offering scholarship opportunities for students who have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
"We saw so many small businesses locally give back, and my employees and I were like, 'What do we do to add to the good feels and support the community in the best way we know how?' And that’s the only thing we could think of as a way to help those less fortunate and give it away for free," Real Frequency Consulting Company founder Evan Moore said Tuesday.
Moore explained that each Real Frequency Student Relief Scholarship will cover the cost of extensive college consulting packages that include college matching, application and essay consulting and career fit analysis. These six-month services normally cost $789.
"Our goal is to ensure that no student gets left out of the education system," Moore said.
The scholarships will give families and students full access to everything a paying client would receive, including initial consultations, scholarships strategies, application assistance and applications.
Moore said Real Frequency already conducts pro bono work for about 10 percent of its clients, so this scholarship program just expands the company's work to help those in need.
"We would like to let everyone know Real Frequency is here for them, regardless of ability to pay," he said. "We're just stepping that up to a larger degree right now because we can afford it and it’s important for the community."
