Mitchell Vawter Kootenai Jr./Sr. High salutatorian

I am the oldest of only two children in my family. I like to snowmobile and snowboard in the winter, ride dirt bikes in the spring/summer and duck hunt and fish. I also like pretty much all genres of music.

Activities/clubs/sports: Football, basketball.

Hobbies: Outdoors, dirt bikes, fishing, snowmobiles, snowboarding.

Favorite books/movies/music: "Superbad," "Dope."

Favorite school subject: History.

What has been your proudest moment in your school career? Idaho top scholar.

What has been the biggest challenge you overcame to become top of your class? Finding the time and motivation to do classwork.

What is one of your favorite school memories, from K-12? Football with all my friends.

What are your plans for after high school? Go to North Idaho College.

Who has been your biggest influence or your biggest cheerleader through your academic journey? My teachers.

What will you miss most about high school? Being in school with lots of people.

What advice do you have for younger students that will help them excel in their studies? Do your homework, it's not that hard.
