CITY OF ATHOL ATHOL, IDAHO WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the construction of the City of Athol, Water System Improvements Project will be received by the City of Athol at City Hall, 30355 N 3rd Street P.O. Box 249, Athol, ID 83801, 3:00 pm local time by July 1, 2020 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. Bids shall be on a bid item basis as indicated in the Bid Form. The Project consists of construction of the various improvements to the City's water system, including raising the existing elevated reservoir (on Menser Ave and 6th St), replacing two existing storage tanks with a standpipe (near the City Cemetery), electrical improvements at the existing Bennett Well site (Bennett Ave and 2nd Ave), structural improvements and pump replacement at the existing Grove Well (Grove Ave and Pastime St) and water main replacement throughout the City. Work includes demolition, as well as construction of concrete structures (below grade), piping, HVAC, electrical and controls, site work, miscellaneous appurtenant work, and installation of mechanical equipment. Mechanical equipment includes pumps. Bidding Documents may be purchased electronically from Keller's website (https://goo.gl/VWGyy7) through Quest CDN for a non-refundable fee of $15.00. Notice of Public Hearing: Rathdrum-Prairie Aquifer Protection Programs KOOTENAI CO., ID - The Kootenai County Aquifer Protection District Policy and Budget Committee (APD) is asking for input in developing the Committee's fiscal year (FY) 2021 budget. Residents are invited to a public hearing, where any data, opinions, ideas or suggestions regarding aquifer protection and maintenance are encouraged. The Kootenai County Aquifer Protection District funds programs related to the protection of the Rathdrum-Prairie Aquifer. In collaboration with Panhandle Health District, the Department of Environmental Quality, the Idaho Department of Water Resources, and other community partners, APD has supported such programs as the University of Idaho Confluence Educational Program and the water level monitoring education programs at several area schools.
