MASKS: Same as seat belts

| July 31, 2020 1:00 AM

Regarding the article titled “ISP Troopers remind motorists to buckle up.”

Let’s change the wording just a little bit. Masks are mandatory because they’re proven to save lives. Officers will speak with citizens every day about the importance of wearing masks and will increase their focus even more during this countywide mask awareness effort. Doctors and nurses see firsthand the loss of life when people refuse to wear masks. It’s such a simple thing and should be an automatic response when you are out in public. Masking up is not an option. It’s the law. We want people to understand that masking up can be the difference between life and death. Safety is our top priority.

OK, why aren’t the anti-maskers screaming and crying and threatening war and bloodshed in front of ISP headquarters for the seatbelt mandate as they were in front of Panhandle Health?
