Hicks, a senior outfielder from Coeur d’Alene High, was named to the Academic All-Mountain West Athletic Conference team, the school announced. To be eligible, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the school while maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team. Hicks started all 14 games while serving as Boise State’s primary left fielder. He batted .386 with 11 runs batted in, one home run and eight doubles. Due to coronvirus, the Broncos had their season cut short after 14 games (9-5). The program, along with the school’s swimming and diving program, was dropped by the school during budget cuts related to the pandemic.
