Person won the inaugural Project Cutthroat disc golf tournament at Farragut State Park on July 20. Person fended off a late charge to win by one stroke over Jace Foster. Person shot 1-under-par 66 on the final day, as well as the lowest round of the tournament in the first round, 63, to secure the one-shot win (129). “I managed to scramble just enough,” Person said. “It was so hot, and I’m just not used to playing back-to-back days on a 10,000-foot-plus course.”
