Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A male called 911 to report that there was a crash in the area of Hwy 54 and Good Hope Road possibly involving two females riding llamas. ISP and medical units responded, but could not find any sign of a crash. The male then called in again to report that his daughter and her friend were being taken by some of his friends, and he was unable to find them. His phone returned to the area of Good Hope Road and Whitetail Road. During his second call to dispatch, he also stated that he started a bonfire in hopes of locating the females. Several Deputies responded to the area after another call came into dispatch regarding a barn being on fire in the same area that the male had called from. It was also reported that gunshots and yelling were potentially heard in the area as well. On scene Deputies confirmed there was an open hay structure with a tractor inside on fire. Deputies quickly located the male hiding in the bushes only feet away from the fire, unarmed. The male, who according to family is having erratic and paranoid behavior due to alcohol withdrawals and meth use, claimed to have been hallucinating due to his recent mental decline and was looking for his daughter who he believed was kidnapped for the purpose of sex trade. We later located his daughter, who was fine. In further questioning the male, he admitted to setting the barn on fire because he was speaking to six “shady tweekers” on the property and they refused to tell him where his daughter was. He stated he set the barn on fire as retaliation. It was quickly determined that the six individuals he claimed to have been speaking with were hallucinations, and he set the barn on fire for no real reason. The male was arrested for 2nd degree arson and felony malicious injury to property. 20-29858

The driver showed signs of impairment and completed SFST’s. Based on his performance he was arrested for DUI and provided BrAC samples of .150 and .131. 20-29868
