Twenty-two currently in hospital

COEUR d’ALENE — The Panhandle Health District reported 60 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday.

That brings PHD’s total cases to 1,300. Of those, 547 are no longer being monitored.

The total number of people currently hospitalized rose to 22, and there has been a total of 50 people hospitalized due to the virus.

Kootenai County’s coronavirus count rose 46 to 1,105. Of those, 646 are considered active cases.

Benewah County is at 29 cases, Bonner County is at 102, Boundary County is at 20 and Shoshone County is at 30, PHD said. There are 14 undetermined cases.

PHD reported the age group of 18-29 has the most COVID-19 cases at 411. The 30-39 age group, at 222 cases, is the second highest.

Females are being affected more, with 699 cases, while 599 cases are among males.

There has been one death in Kootenai County attributed to the coronavirus.
