Notable calls of the day!

07-17-2020

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to Alpine Rd in Post Falls for an auto Burglary. Upon their arrival they contacted the R/P who advised an unknown person entered her vehicle and stole items. A report was completed 20-28517

• Deputies attended the Panhandle Health board meeting. There was a large turnout from the community as well as some protesters. Due to the amount of people attending, additional deputies were staged at Atlas Elementary. The meetings business was completed without any incidents. 20-28631

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to Doyle Rd X Hwy 3 for a non- injury crash. Deputies completed crash report. 20-28653

• A Patrol Sergeant handled a grand theft at E. Driftwood Lane in Harrison. The RP reported he had multiple cases of alcohol stolen from his shed including champagne, expensive wine and multiple cases of white claw. The Sergeant completed crime report. 20-28654

• Detectives assisted P&P in locating a wanted male who was wanted on an Agent’s Warrant. He was located and arrested. 20-28644

• Deputies responded to 3 vehicle crash at Huetter x Mullan. Deputies completed crash report. 20-28650

• Deputies assisted SLPD with a suicide threat at N. 6th Ave in Spirit Lake. A male called his mother and made suicide threats. SLPD took primary. 20-28664

• Deputies assisted Probation and Parole in arresting a male on an agents warrant from an address on N. Cecil. 20-28679

• A Deputy stopped and arrested a male driver in Stateline Village for DUI 2nd offense, open container and obstruction. 20-28694

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to N Hwy 41 for a report of an overdose. It was reported that a male was experiencing alcohol withdrawals and could see demons who were showing him “scary stuff”. The issue was deemed to be medical and no further action was taken by deputies on scene. 20-28697

• Deputies responded to the Casino regarding a drugs call. It was reported by Casino security that a male they were escorting back to his room had propositioned them to purchase methamphetamine from him. Upon arrival they contacted the male in his room. He was intoxicated and allowed them to search his room, which provided nothing. It appeared that the male was making the statements due to his intoxication and had no intention or means to sell any methamphetamine. 20-28697

• While investigating the above mentioned drugs report, the Deputies were advised of a hit and run crash that occurred in the parking lot. A female had her vehicle parked in the parking lot when it was damaged after another vehicle struck it. Deputies reviewed the security footage and learned a male had struck the females vehicle with his vehicle as he left the parking lot. He was contacted by telephone and admitted to hitting female’s vehicle, but felt it didn’t need to be reported because he couldn’t see any substantial damage. A complaint request was submitted requesting charges against the male for leaving the scene of a property damage crash. 20-28714

• Deputies responded to an auto burglary at the Casino. A female reported that someone stole her purse containing approximately $600 from her vehicle while she was inside. In reviewing surveillance footage, it appeared a female had taken the victim’s purse then left in a vehicle. No further information on the suspect. 20-28726

• Deputies contacted a female in the KCSO parking lot after she claimed to have been drugged while at the Casino. After talking to her there was no substantial evidence supporting her suspicion, and she stated she only believed she was drugged because she felt more intoxicated than she should have. She was advised to seek medical attention at Kootenai Health and advise if they learned of anything. FI completed to document the contact in the event that something was found by medical personnel. 20-28724

• Deputies responded to the Silverwood Campground after it was reported that a female was wandering the park, banging on doors and yelling for help. On scene they located a female, who was obviously suffering from mental health issues. It was eventually determined that she was staying in the park with her parents when they got in an argument and she left. We located her family who had no issues with her staying, however, she refused and stated she didn’t feel safe staying there. Her family paid for a taxi to take her back home to Spokane. 20-28731

• Deputies responded to N Chase Road for a domestic dispute. A male called to report that his ex-wife and he got into an argument causing her to leave, however, she had returned demanding to take the children at 0400 hours. The deputies arrived on scene and determined the argument was only verbal and no crimes were committed. FI completed. 20-28732

Notable Calls for the day!

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to a burglary alarm on S Boisen Lp. The residence was found to be secure.

• A Deputy responded to the Coeur d’Alene Casino for a hit and run crash in the parking lot.

• A Deputy responded to Garwood and Rimrock for a non-injury crash. Upon his arrival he learned a truck failed to stop at a stop sign and collided into a truck. The Deputy completed a report and issued citations. 20-28762

• Deputies responded to Walmart in Hayden for a possible DUI. Upon their arrival the located a male inside the vehicle. They contacted the male was contacted and a DUI investigation was completed. The male driver was arrested for DUI. 20-28812

• Deputies responded to Hauser Lake BL and issued KC parks and waterway parking citation as well as some uniform citations for parking.20-28800

• A Citizens on Patrol Officer was flagged down regarding a hit and run crash at Fieldstone and Honeysuckle. A Deputy responded and completed an investigation. 20-28802

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy handled another hit and run accident at the casino. 20-28827

• Deputies responded to E. Miles for a male repeatedly calling 911 heavily intoxicated and cursing and yelling at the dispatchers. The male was upset over an incident with his daughter over 25 years ago and no one doing anything about it. The male spoke via landline with a Deputy and was trying to get the Deputy to fight him. Deputies showed up and attempted to make progress with the male but eventually cited him for misuse of 911. 20-28861

• Deputies responded to Hauser Lake Boat Launch again and issued several citations. 20-28850

• Deputies responded to E. Ohio Match Rd. for a fight. Two male had gotten into a verbal confrontation. One male allegedly slapped the other male’s phone out of his hand and stomped on it. The owner of the phone did not want to pursue charges. 20-28837

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle on Highway 53 X Pleasant View and arrested the male driver for DUI. He was cited and released for DWP and MIP alcohol. His passenger was also cited and released for MIP alcohol. 20-28920

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle northbound Atlas Rd. from Prairie Ave. for 48 MPH in a 35 MPH zone. Upon contact with the vehicle and driver, the Deputy detected the distinct and overpowering odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The driver admitted to having smoked marijuana in the vehicle prior to driving tonight. The driver failed evaluations and was placed under arrest for DUI Drugs. A DRE was called to the jail and completed further investigation with the same conclusion as the arresting Deputy. Marijuana paraphernalia was also discovered in the vehicle, along with leaking cans of Bud Lite. The driver was also charged for MIP Alcohol and DWP, as well as possession of paraphernalia. 20-28922
