The Salvation Army Kroc Center, the popular gym and recreation outlet on Golf Course Road by Ramsey Park in Coeur d’Alene, announced Tuesday it’s closing temporarily after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus.

“Today, we were informed that a Kroc employee tested positive and was working in The Center this week,” Kroc said in a statement. “At the guidance of Panhandle Health, The Kroc Center is closing today at 3 p.m., Tuesday, July 21, 2020. A deep cleaning and disinfecting regiment will take place during the closure. The Center will reopen on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 5 a.m. for general use.”

Kroc Center administration did not respond to requests for comment as of press time, but the post further states that members and staff who may have been in close contact with the unindentified employee will be notified.

“Our number one priority is (to) maintain a safe and clean place for our members and the community to enjoy,” the statement read.
