Notable calls for the day!

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Multiple units responded to the Spokane River in the area of the Avista Dam reference two kayakers that had reportedly gone passed both barriers and were up against the catch net. Units responded via land and patrol boat and confirmed they were not in any distress. Both parties were warned. 20-28142

• A Deputy responded to W. St. Emillion reference a male wandering naked in the street. The male’s mother called and stated the male needed help. Then the call was upgraded to a Suicide Attempt, and Fire/EMS were put on standby in the area. Once on scene, Deputies ascertained the subject was NOT suicidal and was merely suffering a medical issue, and had a seizure. 20-28151

• Deputies responded to N. Colfax St. in Dalton Gardens reference a Welfare Check on a male/female there. Upon taking the call, Central Dispatch learned the female half wanted to see about getting her husband on a PC hold. Upon arriving on scene, Deputies learned that neither of the parties were on scene, and did not live there anymore. 20-28153

• Deputies responded to W. Cougar Gulch Rd. for a reported Physical Domestic between a father and son. Both were cooperative on scene, and both were cited for battery. 20-28194

• Deputies responded to an Overdose S. Bonnell. The female was transported by ambulance to KH. 20-28210

• A Deputy responded to Super 1- Athol for a cooperative Shoplifter. On scene a male stole a seedless watermelon ($6.47). He was cited and released for theft. 20-28200

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Patrol Sergeant at the end of his shift responded the shoreline of Hayden Lake near English Point Trail System for a trauma. A 9 Year old juvenile female was fishing when a 60ft rotted tree fell over on top of her. Medical personnel worked for an extended amount of time until she was ultimately air-lifted. She later passed away from the incident at KH. 20-28214

• Deputies responded to W. Hargrave Ave for a psychological. An R/P reported his brother had on going mental illness issues and had originally agreed to self-commit to KBH. The brother was intoxicated and refused to go to KBH. The brother did not meet criteria for protective custody hold. Deputies cleared with call notes. 20-28216

• A Deputy cited/released a male for marijuana paraphernalia from a traffic stop in the Stateline. 20-28268

Night Shift handled the following notable calls: A

• Deputy stopped and arrested a male at Northwest x Highway 95 for DUI .150/.145. 20-28283

• A Deputy responded to the Harmony House and arrested a male for battery on one of the workers. The victim placed the male into custody for a citizen’s arrest. 20-28291

• Deputies spent several hours looking for a juvenile runaway that was also a suspect in several auto burglaries. They contacted several friends and acquaintances until one of them was able to lure the juvenile out of hiding. We received information that he would be heading to the Greensferry skate park in Post Falls to meet a friend so units staged on foot and in vehicles in the area. Deputies saw the juvenile walking southbound on Greensferry x Seltice until he got spooked and ran around the car wash at that intersection then ran back northbound. Deputies were able to catch juvenile and take him into custody for his warrants. He was wearing the same clothes as he was in the security camera footage.
