SHERIFF: Oversteps bounds

Shame on the sheriff’s office for issuing citations of any type for “isolation” violations. The sheriff is supposed to be a protector of the people against a tyrannical government, and the fabricated dangers of a virus to instill fear into the population is nothing short of indoctrination. Hitler used the same fear tactics to get the Germans to do things they would never have done otherwise.

When the majority of those reading this paper were kids, we all had chicken pox, measles and mumps. Talk about contagious! And, yes, older people died from it. The world did not stop. Schools did not shut down. Businesses weren’t run into the ground. If you were sick, you stayed home. The rest of the world was allowed to continue.

I sure hope Sheriff Norris will be a Constitutional sheriff and promise to protect the citizens from such government overreach. We are adults and should be allowed to decide for ourselves what is dangerous. Take your mask, take your sanitizer, make yourself feel better. But as a wise mechanic said, “If you can smell my fart, then your mask ain’t working.”
