Maryann (Smar) Conklin, 90

Maryann (Smar) Conklin, aged 90, a resident of Post Falls, Idaho, passed to her rest on May 12, 2020, in Coeur d’Alene. Maryann was born April 1, 1930, in Manhattan, N.Y., to Anthony and Mary Smar.

After graduating from Rahway High School and working for several years, she met and married Roscoe Delmar Conklin, Jr., in 1952. They would go on to have nine children together. The family moved into a Coeur d’Alene farmhouse in the summer of 1972.

Among her many talents were preparing fantastic meals, baking, canning and making fruit leather. She was also a master seamstress and expert quilter, often for people in need.

Maryann was privileged to greet 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, three children and one grandchild.

Maryann will be interred at Prairie View Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene.
