POST FALLS — Spencer Zeller went 3 for 5 and drove in six runs, leading a comeback that lifted the Prairie Cardinals class AA Legion team past the Moses Lake Spuds 15-13 on Tuesday night at Post Falls High.

Zeller hit a three-run double in the fourth inning for Post Falls (1-2). He hit a three-run triple in the eighth to tie the game, then scored the go-ahead run on a sacrifice play by Trevor Miller, as part of an eight-run inning.

The Cardinals were three outs from being 10-runned in the seventh, trailing 13-3. Jared Passinetti hit a two-run double to trigger a four-run uprising by Prairie.

“They battled tonight, and made things happen in the seventh and eighth to pull it out,” Prairie coach Mick Zeller said.
