Idaho Democrats elect delegates for National Convention

BOISE — The Idaho Democratic Party held a virtual convention from June 12-14 and elected 22 national delegates who will represent Idaho at August’s virtual DNC National Convention.

The IDP also elected a new National Committeewoman, Chelsea Gaona-Lincoln, and a new National Committeeman, Jason Pretty Boy, whose terms officially begin on Aug. 21.

“We were lucky to have such a vibrant and energized group of Idaho Democrats who were eager to represent our state at the National Convention,” said Van Beechler, IDP chair.

The IDP has tentatively scheduled its platform convention for Aug. 28-29.

The names of North Idaho national delegates and alternates are (Biden, 12; Sanders, 10):

Biden Delegates — Tom Hearn, Kootenai

Sanders Delegates — Cory Alexander, Kootenai

Idaho’s Automatic Delegates/DNC Members (Elected at various times) — Jerry Shriner, National Committeeman, Kootenai; Paulette Jordan, At-Large, Benewah
