• While sitting in the SO parking lot doing paperwork, the Sergeant was approached by two Deputies from the jail conducting a perimeter check of the SO campus, who said they saw a man throwing up outside his vehicle at the Maverik across the street. The Sergeant saw the male bent over as if throwing up, then watched him get back into the driver’s seat of his running vehicle. He turned on the reverse lights but did not leave. The Sergeant contacted the driver and discovered the driver to be intoxicated. He admitted he had just driven to this location from the Tipsy Pine and pulled over because he realized he should not be driving, or at least just to throw up. A Deputy arrived and arrested the driver for DUI. Medical responded for a patient evaluation because the driver began throwing up again and stated this was due to detoxing off of heroin on top of being intoxicated. 20-02170
