CHALLENGE: Pay it forward in ‘21

| December 30, 2020 1:00 AM

On Tuesday, Dec. 22 my son and I were at the Hayden Walmart getting groceries. We ended up in the self-checkout and I ended up trying to find $5.01 available on one of my cards but wasn’t able to after a few tries.

Just when I was going to try another one, an angel offered to help me! I was grateful but felt guilty and kept saying she didn’t have to but this angel was more than willing to do it. She said that since we had on matching lavender sweatshirts (from Costco) that she was more than happy to do it.

I thanked her multiple times, wished her a very Merry Christmas and said “bless you for your kindness.” I’ve had the occasional angel that has surprised in the drive-through at Starbucks, but this was so amazing to witness face-to-face. To this angel I say thank you and I WILL pay it forward!

I think right now with everything going crazy that I would like to challenge everyone to spread the idea of random acts of kindness whether you’re at the store, drive-through or getting a pizza delivered to maybe make somebody’s day brighter by paying for the car behind you or a big tip for the waitress or delivery person. Everyone’s karma can use a positive boost and yours will be that much better if you do!

Happy Holidays to ALL and have an AMAZING 2021!
