Notable calls for the day!

12-23-2020

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to a report of aggressive door to door sales people in the area of Strawberry Fields. This included and email from the City saying they have received multiple complaints and they provided a photograph of the suspect. The Deputy located the male in question. He was issued a citation for violation of City of Hayden Ordinance. Both the male and his boss were hostile and not cooperative during the contact.

• A Deputy took a theft report at E. Upper Hayden Lake Rd. An R/P reported he had tracked packages he ordered. The tracking showed the packages delivered on 12/18, but the packages were not there.

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle on Lincoln Way near Davidson. He contacted the driver who had an active warrant for military desertion out of Kentucky. He was arrested on the warrant.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies performed Security Checks throughout the shift, due to minimal call load. Deputies specifically checked the new development off of Diagonal Rd.

• A Deputy took a call for service regarding a vehicle theft at N Government Way. An R/P reported that his vehicle was stolen sometime between July (when he was arrested) and December (when he was released). His vehicle was last known to be with a male who lived at the address. The Deputy attempted to contact the male at the location, but was unable to confirm if anyone lived there anymore. Additional attempts were made to contact male, but he was unable to be located. At the time of the report, it was unknown if the vehicle was actually stolen or if the male moved it because he moved. An active report was completed. 20-54349

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to S. Highway 95 for an unattended death. An 82 year old male was released from the hospital hours prior and was scheduled to be set up on hospice care due to his rapidly failing health. He passed away at home with his family by his side. Nothing suspicious was located. 20-54378

• A Deputy handled a hit and run report from N. James Rd. An unknown type of sports car was driving fast in the area, lost control on the ice and struck a fence. The vehicle then fled the scene. 20-54390.

• The vehicle that was reported stolen from N. Airport Dr. on 12/22/20 was located by the Ponderay County (WA) Sheriff's Office. 20-54381

Notable calls for the day!

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the county, not a creature was stirring, except a couple of DUI drivers, door to door salesmen, a confused person and a few other citizens who were up to no good. Below is a few of those contacts that were made throughout the day. Merry Christmas to everyone.

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to a call for service reference a door to door salesman in Hayden. There were no violations. At the same call, a theft of packages was reported. During the investigation, it was found that the tracking info was wrong and there was no evidence that the packages had been delivered as of yet.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to the Crossroads Conoco in Athol for a Fight in the parking lot area. ISP units had just cleared from a call in the area and were doored up in the parking lot around the corner from the fight. A juv. male whose father was one of the involved fighting summoned the Troopers to the fight. Since they were on scene first, and there was also a DUI witnessed by one of the Troopers associated with one of the parties involved, the Troopers took primary on the call, and KCSO units assisted on scene. 20-54462

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Seltice X Beck. He conducted a DUI investigation, and ultimately charged the driver for DUI BrAC .196, .192. 20-54469

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle in the parking lot of the Ameri-Mart and contacted the driver who is 17yoa. The Deputy released the juvenile to his parents after locating para in his vehicle. A K-9 Deputy and his partner assisted with a search of the vehicle. The Juvenile was charged with possession of paraphernalia. 20-54476

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to a welfare check at Government Way X Hayden Ave. for an 86 YOM who seemed confused and could not remember how to get home. His address was located in-house and he was returned home. 20-54472

Notable calls for the day!

12-25-2020

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy handled a missing/suicidal person call from E. Miles Rd. The R/P called to report his 29 year old son departed the house and stated he wasn't going to eat or drink anything anymore, in hopes he would die. His phone was turned off and last known location was at the Avondale Golf Course two days ago. An ATL and a report was made. The son returned at 1330 hours and was taken to KH. 20-54491/20-54504

• Deputies responded to Roberts Rd. for a suspicious call where the RP thought a female running by his vehicle threw a rock through his window. He ran after her as she was running passed his vehicle. Deputies arrived on scene and learned the female was out for a jog and happened to be in the area but was not involved with the damage. A malicious injury to property report was completed. 20-54495

• A Deputy responded to W. Hayden Ave. for an agency assist for the Cottonwood Heights (Utah) Police Department. This was in reference to a vehicle they were involved in a pursuit with in their jurisdiction. The RO was not located in Hayden, although her mother was and said she is using drugs and was last known to be driving to Arizona to see her father. This information was passed on to Cottonwood Heights PD. 20-54497

• Deputies responded to the Hayden Wal-Mart for a male attempting to start a large John Deere loader/plow in the parking lot. He was contacted by security who he told he was going to drive the loader through the front door of the store. Deputies arrived and contacted the male who refused all commands but was eventually removed from the loader and placed into handcuffs. The male was identified and it was learned he was on felony probation. Wal-Mart declined to pursue charges and although male admitted to using methamphetamine yesterday, there was none located on him today. He was trespassed from Wal-Mart. 20-54499

• Deputies responded to E. St. James Ave. in Hayden for a welfare check on the RP's parents (64 and 69 yoa). There was no answer on scene and it appeared there was no one home. The RP called back and said he spoke with his parents. Apparently they were in the St. John area and had lost cell phone reception. 20-54507

• A Deputy handled a citizen assist on a custodial interference at E. Honeysuckle Ave. in Hayden between a male and female in reference to the drop-off/pick-up location being disputed. Questions were answered and no violation occurred. 20-54508

• A Deputy handled a citizen assist on a custodial interference at E. Jadyn Ct. in Hayden between a male and female in reference to the custody exchange time being disputed by both parties. 20-54509

• A Deputy handled an animal bite call at N. Hauser Lake Rd. where an adult male was trying to separate two fighting dogs (his and his relative’s dogs), resulting in his finger being severed through the bone. He was transported to KH for surgery. The dogs were placed on home quarantine as the rabies vaccines were current. The Deputy and ACO will follow up tomorrow. 20-54511

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to a report of a Property Damage Crash at N. Elk Run Ln. On scene after contacting the driver, he learned the crash actually occurred at the intersection of E. Ohio Match Rd. and N. Old Hwy 95. The driver was uninjured, however there was damage to the vehicle. Report taken. 20-54522

• Deputies responded to W. Spuler Ln. in the Hauser area for a suspicious circumstance. The RP advised there was not supposed to be anyone at the residence, however he advised Central Dispatch there were people on the property walking around with flashlights. On scene Deputies contacted two subjects who stated they had been renting the location since July of 2020. Deputies completed a FI due to the fact he felt there was possibly drug activity there, or possibly something else going on. Incidentally, both people had a legal right to be there. 20-54530

• Deputies responded to a reported Property Damage crash on Prairie Ave. west of Hwy 95. On scene Deputies contacted the driver of one of the cars who advised he and the other party had already exchanged information. The Deputy was able to speak to other driver and eventually responded to his house west of the crash location and completed the crash investigation. 20-54531

• The Patrol Sergeant handled a Citizen Assist reference a male subject who went up Hayden Creek towards the power lines and got stuck in reportedly 4 feet of snow. A tow truck was going to be sent to assist, however the male didn't know where he was exactly except that he drove into Hayden Creek and went over the other side past the power lines. The Rec. Safety Sergeant was contacted and after discussing the situation with male’s sister, she advised the male didn't want any assistance from LE and was going to spend the night in his truck and deal with getting out in the morning. 20-54533

• Deputies responded to the area of Fernan Hill Dr. and City View for an Injury Crash. It was reported by On-Star that a vehicle had slid off the road and into a concrete barrier. It was reported 4 patients were in the vehicle with airbag deployment. Once Deputies arrived on scene it was determined to be the CDAPD's jurisdiction. 20-54539

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• There were no notable calls during this shift. Deputies conducted pro-active patrols through neighborhoods and construction sites.
