MANDATE: Good move, PHD

| December 25, 2020 1:00 AM

Thank you for the mask mandate and protecting us from an illness 99%+ survivable. PHD has shown courage and remarkable insight regulating the healthy segment of the population rather than the elderly and vulnerable.

Who would have thought that mandating everyone to use a mask would flatten the curve and slow the spread. Especially when a positive test resulted in the extraordinary medical advice to stay home, rest and take fluids.

Our local newspaper summary report reported a few days ago that no one over 50 has died attributed to COVID and only 15 younger than 65. Not caused by COVID but merely attributed to COVID.

The fear that has been promoted has enabled people to yell out “people are dying” if you don’t wear a mask. Yes .004% may die probably if you are over 65 and have an underlying health condition.

But wait, the spread has not slowed. Could it be that “isolating and wearing a mask” weakens our immune system? Maybe Sweden and South Dakota got it right- not shutting down and asking people to be responsible.
