Notable calls for the day!

12-17-2020

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• SIU Detectives attempted a stop a vehicle who initially fled in his vehicle through a neighborhood, then stopped, claiming he did not know he was being followed by law enforcement. He was ultimately arrested for PWI Methamphetamine, after close to an ounce of meth was recovered from his vehicle. 20-53476

• Deputies responded to the area of Rimrock X Dodd for a runaway report. A 15 year old female was contacted in the roadway. She had walked away due to not wanting to be there and talked about self-harm. During the investigation, it was determined that she was no threat to herself or others.

• SIU Detectives attempted to stop a vehicle however the male driver attempted to flee in his vehicle through a parking lot, but crashed through a homeowner's fence and was taken into custody after a short standoff at his vehicle. He was arrested for Delivery of Cocaine, PWI (he was in possession of 180 Xanax pills), and felony eluding. He also had a handgun with an extended magazine during the drug transaction. 20-53508

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle for an odd driving pattern after the vehicle was in a collision with a road sign in the area of Idaho Rd. The driver was making deliveries for Walmart and appeared to be intoxicated, as well as suffering from several medical issues. The driver’s BAC was .165/.161. Due to health concerns, medical was called to the scene and found his blood sugar was low. This was his second DUI in as many months. The vehicle was released to the contract company who was facilitating the deliveries.

• A Deputy responded to the Casino for a report of found drugs in a room after check out. One of the occupants had warrants (1 felony out of WA, 1 misd. out of Kootenai). They were both arrested for possession of drugs and the warrant.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to the Chevron gas station on N.W. blvd. to meet the female half of a possible Domestic Dispute that occurred on S. Greensferry Rd. The female advised her husband was verbal with her, and as she was leaving he threatened it was the last time she would ever see him alive. According to the female, the male had been drinking for the last two days, is ex-military, and suffers from PTSD. Attempts from both the female and Deputy went unanswered. 20-53549

• A Deputy responded to Tony's Supper Club parking lot to meet an R/P who advised her 82 yom live in boyfriend- reportedly battered her yesterday at S. Lochhurst Ln. After speaking further with the R/P, she stated she was not hit by the male but rather that he grabbed her shoulders. 20-53554

• Deputies arrested a male for his active warrant at Cruisers. 20-53582

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle near Seltice X Wellesley. The driver was intoxicated and was charged for DUI. 20-53582

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at Pointe Parkway and I-90 for not having any license plates. The driver handed the Deputy a photocopy of the title with handwritten information on it. Dispatch ran the VIN and it came back confirmed stolen out of Post Falls. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded a small amount of THC resin and several items of paraphernalia. The driver was charged for possession of stolen property. The passengers were charged for PCS and possession of paraphernalia. 20-53581

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to E. Nunn Rd. for a report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, they learned that a male and female had been in a verbal argument after the female stated she was leaving. No crime was committed and an FI was completed.

• Deputies responded to E. Twete Rd. for a report of a psychological. An R/P reported that her daughter was in a manic state and talking about self-harm. Deputies contacted the daughter and provided her some assistance.

• A Deputy responded to N. Church Rd. for an unattended death. A male was found deceased by family members. The death was determined to be natural and nothing suspicious was found. 20-53644

• A Deputy responded to N. Gleason Rd. for a report of a trespassing. The RP recently purchased a house that had renters already in it. They were not evicted by the previous owners and still lived in the house at the time of purchase. The new owners want the family evicted and trespassed. The new owners were advised that they would have to go through the eviction process as we could not remove the family without a judge's order.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to E. Maplewood reference a possible Custodial Interference. At the time this call came in two more calls for service appeared on the screen for the same location; Health and Welfare and a Citizen Assist. Deputies spoke with all parties involved, and the gist was generally that family members were fighting over the home life of a 15 year old female. A report will be completed, however a check of the residence (mom's house) yielded nothing alarming, and the condition was fit for the juvenile to be there. 20-53659

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle on I-90 near mm 6. On scene he contacted the driver who was ultimately arrested for DUI .195/.178. 20-53690

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle near Seltice X Palmwood. The Deputy ended up arresting the driver for DUI .130/.117. He also received several other citations in addition to his DUI. Once at PSB he attempted to fight Deputies. 20-53727

• Deputies responded to the area of N. Torrey Ln. reference a Suspicious Vehicle. It was reported a small truck w/ a camper shell was parked in the middle of the roadway and the two occupants inside were having sex. Deputies arrived on scene and separated the two subjects. Both were on probation and their P.O.'s were contacted, however didn't want anything done. Both were warned for their behavior. 20-53729

• As the wind picked up, and the temperatures dropped there were multiple crashes and slide offs throughout the county, however most were on Hwy 41 and Hwy 95 so ISP handled them.

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at Seltice Way and Pleasantview Rd. The driver had consumed alcohol and ultimately failed SFST's. He provided breath samples of .084/.078. As he blew under the legal limit he was released without charges. 20-53749

• A Deputy handled a suicide threat from a female who called the crisis center and told them she was suicidal, but would not give her location. Deputies were familiar with the female and responded to her normal parking spot (Mullan Ave. X Seltice Way) and located her. After speaking with her some time, it was determined she did not meet the criteria for a PC hold. 20-53753

• At approximately 0300, A Deputy contacted three juveniles walking along Government Way in front of the Sheriff's Office. They claimed they were just out for a stroll. Their parents were contacted and they were released to them. 20-53754

Notable calls for the day!

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to E. Cartwright Rd. for a report of a domestic dispute, which was heard and reported by the neighbors. Deputies contacted a male and female who were involved in an argument over the birthday party for their one year old daughter. Both parties are contemplating separation as they are in a tumultuous relationship with ongoing arguments, although they haven't yet turned physical. 20-53771

• A Deputy arrested a male for a warrant at N. Government Way. 20-53784

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to W. Midway Ave. reference an Agency Assist for CDA involving a male suspect who was allegedly involved in a Domestic Dispute in their jurisdiction. Deputies located the male and he was arrested and transported to PSB at the request of CDA. 20-53812

• A Deputy responded to W. Lancaster for a reported Unattended Death. The male had extensive medical issues. Nothing suspicious was discovered at the scene. 20-53840

• Deputies responded to E. Poleline ref. a reported Family Dispute. The RP advised his 16yom son was being insolent and rude and wanted LE to come and speak with him. No crime, but a talk was given. 20-53857

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to the casino regarding a female attempting to pass a counterfeit bill. When confronted she claimed she got the bill from an ATM at the casino. There was no way to prove her claim via surveillance. The bill was seized and a report was taken to be forwarded to the Secret Service. 20-53847

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle traveling N/B in the S/B lanes of Highway 95 at Hanley Ave. He contacted the driver who exhibited the symptoms of intoxication. She was unable to perform SFST's due to medical issues. She provided breath samples of .000 and was arrested for DUI drugs. A DRE evaluation was later performed. The driver was also in possession of several loose pills. She was charged with possession of a prescription drug without a prescription and open container as well. 20-53848

• Deputies responded to a domestic at W. 15th Ave. at the request of PFPD who had no available units. An R/P called and complained his ex-fiancé’s boyfriend had battered him. Upon arrival, it was obvious the R/P had been battered, but now claimed it was his ex-fiancé who had battered him. The R/P was intoxicated and uncooperative with Deputies. The other parties had left prior to LE arrival so a report was taken. 20-53862

• A short while after the domestic call, the original R/P was observed leaving the area of the residence in his pickup. He was stopped by a Deputy. He failed SFST's and was arrested for DUI and refused to submit to a breath test. 20-53865
