In memoriam

Their names didn’t appear on the pages of the newspaper for achievements in business or rolling a perfect game at the bowling alley. They were not members of local civic or service organizations or on boards of directors for banks or non-profits.

For the most part, regardless of their beginnings or how many people loved them, the names here were people who struggled with circumstances and persevered beyond what most of us can imagine. At the end of the day what matters is their humanity. While living mostly invisible lives, they were worthy of kindness and care.
