COEUR d’ALENE — A wanted man who failed to appear in court after he pleaded guilty to assault was arrested after almost two years.

Harlan T. Collinsworth, 44, of Coeur d’Alene, was arrested on a $5,000 warrant over the weekend.

The arrest stems from September 2018, when police responded to a Coeur d’Alene residence where Collinsworth reportedly threatened a family member.

The family member told police Collinsworth repeatedly shook his fist in her face and threatened to “punch her lights out,” according to court documents.

Collinsworth was arrested and charged with assault, a misdemeanor.

He pleaded guilty in November 2018, but reportedly failed to appear in court for sentencing in February 2019.

A judge issued a $5,000 warrant for his arrest, which was not returned until this month.

Police arrested Collinsworth on Saturday.
