Wallace holiday parades canceled

WALLACE — Citing the recent Stage 2 restrictions from Gov. Brad Little and Panhandle Health District, the Wallace Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors canceled the Friday night Christmas Lights Parade and today's Paw Parade set for this weekend. The parades are normally part of the town’s long-standing annual holiday festival.

“Our board has been in close consultation with Panhandle Health. They were advised not to conduct the parades in the given pandemic conditions,” said David Copelan, Wallace Chamber coordinator.

The board also consulted with Wallace City officials, who also recommended the parades be canceled.

Copeland said there be activities offered today, including hay rides, book readings, pictures with Santa, free holiday movie showings and downtown merchants offering family activities.
