Assessor's Office closed; customers warned

| December 10, 2020 1:00 AM

The Kootenai County Assessor's Office is the next victim to fall to COVID-19, leading to its closure as of Wednesday.

Located on the second floor of the Kootenai County Administrative Building, the office will be closed for at least one week following a positive COVID-19 case.

"Customers that received service in the Assessor's Office on Monday, December 7, could be at risk for COVID-19 exposure," a press release said. "Anyone having visited the office that day should consult their health care providers if they have questions concerning their health."

Limited office services will be available through the kcassr@kcgov.us email during the closure and through the Assessor's web page on www.kcgov.us. Those seeking to file for Homeowner's Exemption should wait until the office reopens, the release said.
