Notable calls for the day!

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Detectives located a male at the Mobil Tesoro on Sherman. The male was arrested for drug charges. 20-18271

• Deputies responded to S. Cody Rd. for a 911 Hang-up call. An R/P had called 911 and only gave an address and phone number before hanging up. There was a concern there may be a significant issue. When deputies arrived, they learn it was a poaching issue with someone shooting a on or near the property/road. Fish and Game was contacted for an assist with the call.

• A Patrol Sergeant received information from a citizen that there may be an elk lying in a field near the Fernan Range. It was believed the elk may have been poached but not collected. The Sergeant located the elk at E. Discovery Point Tr. It had been dead for some time and it was difficult to determine cause of death. Fish and Game was notified.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• SIU Detectives came across two individuals with warrants for their arrest. The two individuals were arrested for their warrants. (20-51652/20-51650)

• Deputies responded to a residence in Hayden for a reported suicide attempt. A resident at the facility had reportedly injured himself. Upon deputies arriving to the scene the subject was taken into protective custody. 20-51662

• Deputies responded to a property damage crash at the intersection of Hayden and Atlas. The driver of one of the vehicles, who was later identified via numerous articles of personal property in the vehicle, fled the scene. The driver had a felony warrant but could not be located. Deputies contacted the driver’s mother who admitted to being in the area of the crash to look for her daughter but would not provide further details. Deputies responded to the mother's residence in Post Falls but could not locate the suspect there either. Deputies contacted the driver by phone and she denied being involved in a crash and claimed to be in Boise. The driver’s mother again confirmed that she was not in Boise, however she would not assist deputies with providing her daughters location. A report was completed and driver was charged for additional crimes. 20-51660

• Deputies assisted ISP with a stolen vehicle out of Washington. The vehicle was located near mile post 15 on I90. The vehicle yielded on Sherman near CDA Lake Dr and a high risk stop was conducted. The two suspects were arrested without incident by ISP. 20-51675

• Deputies responded to the report of a battery at the CDA Casino however they were canceled by security prior to arrival. Deputies continued to the area to ATL the parties involved as they had already left the scene. Deputies patrolled the area of the casino as well as other places in district 4.

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy handled a non-injury crash at Rockford Bay Rd. and Loffs Bay Rd. The driver lost control of the vehicle on the slick roadway and the vehicle went over the embankment. 20-51705

• Deputies responded to assist SLPD at the White Horse Saloon on a psychological call. SLPD handled the incident. 20-51708

• A Deputy took a hit and run crash report from W. Riverbend Ave. where someone had struck a horse that had got out of its enclosure. The horse is in need of veterinary care. Animal Control came in early to assist with the horse. 20-51710
