Donald Eugene Finney, 75
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Donald “Don” Eugene Finney, 75, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away Aug. 14, 2020, at Mountain Valley of Cascadia in Kellogg, Idaho. He was born April 3, 1945, in Spokane, Wash.; Don was the son of John and Thelma (Johnson) Finney.
Don was an entrepreneur at heart and owned and operated several businesses over the years. He owned Finney’s Pub 41 of Post Falls, Extreme Tanning and Sundown Auto and Marine, where he worked as a mechanic before his retirement.
Don was a motorhead and loved anything with an engine. Whether it was a motorcycle, dirt bike, snowmobile, or his 1929 Model A, Don loved to go fast. Over the years he traveled to many car shows and was a member of the GOODGUYS Car Club and the United Street Rods of Idaho, of which he was a lifetime member.
On May 14, 1993, Don was united in marriage to Peggy at the Hitching Post in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Don is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Peggy Finney; his son, Steve (Tonya) Finney; two grandchildren, Courtney and Jessica, and one great-grandchild, Jackson. He is also survived by numerous cousins. Don was preceded in death by his parents, John and Thelma.
