Apartment complex planned near Riverstone Pond

Construction has just begun on The Timbers, a five-story, 62-unit apartment complex at 1940 Riverstone Drive (just west of Anthony’s Restaurant).

With one- and two-bedroom units, the amenities include views of Riverstone Pond, large decks, two levels of outdoor patios (one with a barbecue area and one with a gas fireplace), an exercise room, storage units, a dog wash, an Amazon hub and an indoor social area with a kitchen, fireplace, TV, seating and connected to the patios facing the pond.

With underground and surface parking, the project will be complete in fall 2021 with Baker Construction, Eixenberger Architects and Parkwood Business Properties.

Offering authentic cuisine from India, India House opens this week in the Plaza of Post Falls at 740 Cecil Road.

With many appetizers, sides, entrees and beverages with an India decor, the place seats 75 with a side room for events. Owners Deepika Dhawan and Manoj Kumar also have places in Moscow and Wenatchee, Wash.
