Notable calls for the day!

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to N. High Prairie Dr. for a welfare check. On scene, deputies contacted an elderly female who said she makes threats of suicide when she and her husband are arguing. Medical also arrived on scene and determined the female would benefit from staying put in her residence and seeing her regular doctor tomorrow as scheduled for a further treatment plan. 20-33694

• Deputies responded to Hayden Public Library for neglect of children. RP stated a white Toyota SUV was parked in the parking lot with its windows rolled up and two small children pounding on the windows. The female driver exited the vehicle and entered the library leaving the children inside the vehicle. Deputies learned the mother had been gone for approximately two minutes and the children ages 10 and 5 were left with a cell phone and water. 20-33712

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to S. Signal Point Rd. for an abandoned vehicle. Upon contact, Deputies made contact with a male who was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Paraphernalia and a loaded syringe was observed in plain view. A search of the vehicle yielded several pieces of paraphernalia and methamphetamine. The male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and cited and released on the paraphernalia charge. 20-33782

• Deputies responded to N. Finucane Dr. and arrested a male on his felony warrant. 20-33791

• Deputies responded to the Hayden Super 1 regarding a cooperative shoplifter. A male was observed removing tags from a set of gloves and leaving the store without paying. The male admitted he came into the store without any money to steal the gloves because his hands were cold. It was also discovered he stole a can of an alcoholic beverage from the CDA Super 1 earlier in the day. The male was cited and released for commercial burglary and petit theft. 20-33813/20-33828

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy stopped and arrested a male driver for DUI in the Hayden Walmart parking lot for a traffic violation observed on the roadway.

• At approximately 0445 a Deputy was flagged down while at Dalton City Hall for a report of an unknown vehicle vs. power pole crash at 4th X Prairie. On scene, a male was located wandering around his vehicle. He suffered a bloody nose, cuts on his knee, and some shoulder pain, but refused medical. The male was the only occupant in the vehicle. He stated he fell asleep while driving home from a friend’s house. The Deputies investigation showed no signs of impairment. A crash report was completed and the male was taken to the doctor by his mother.
