COVID: Cook is correct

I’m writing to express my strongest support for the piece in Thursday’s edition of The Press written by Mr. Jim Cook in the “My Turn” section.

He is completely correct in saying that we need more DETAILED information about COVID-19 in order to make INFORMED decisions for ourselves. I would point to the entire third paragraph of his piece as a guide to what we need, and are entitled to know. As Mr. Cook states, “Knowledge and information are power…”

Lastly, a thought: isn’t it the role of the press (or rather The Press) to provide the information Mr. Cook requests? More and better investigative reporting and less demonizing and propagandizing by the media generally would be greatly appreciated by most of us.
