| August 5, 2020 1:00 AM

COEUR d’ALENE — As businesses continue to re-open, Express Employment Professionals is putting job seekers to work with its third annual mass interviewing event on Thursday — National Interview Day.

With temporary business closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic starting in March, “Express is stepping up, now more than ever, to provide hope through employment,” a press release said.

“Hiring is ramping up across the country, and Express offices are doing everything they can to help rebuild the workforce,” said Bill Stoller, Express CEO.

“Opportunities are available to get back to work, and our recruiters are ready with a variety of positions,” he added.

The “Drive Thru Job Fair” will be between 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in their parking lot. They are also offering two 30-minute seminars, one on interviews at 11 a.m. and one on resumes at 3:30 p.m.

“Our Coeur d’Alene office is prepared for a great turnout of applicants, we will be conducting interviews ‘drive up’ style, no need to get out of your car if you prefer,” said Jessica Bauman, owner of the Coeur d’Alene franchise office.

Masks will be provided if needed. If people prefer not to wear a mask, Express will be conducting interviews via Zoom or Teams.

Bauman compared Express to sports agents.

“We learn candidate’s direct skills, transferrable skills and availability to make the right employment match,” she said.
