DELAVAN: A proven leader

I endorse Greg Delavan for the position of County Commissioner and urge people to vote for Greg in the upcoming primary election and again in the general election.

I have known Greg and worked with Greg for the past 25 years. As a member of the Coeur d’Alene Airport Advisory Board, I had close and frequent contact with Greg for all of those years.

Greg is a problem solver and has the ability to see the bigger picture. And, he is able to bring entities together to reach a consensus going forward. Greg listens well. He is not afraid to question and not afraid to act. His decisions will always serve to benefit our local community and the people of Kootenai County.

Greg administered in excess of $25 million of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Grants during his tenure as director of the Coeur d’Alene Airport and for every dollar received of federal money he maximized the dollars and exceeded expectations. As a result, Kootenai County has one of the finest and most respected General Aviation Airports in the country.

Greg was the driving force that convinced Empire Airlines to bring their corporate presence back to the Coeur d’Alene Airport and to save/bring the 100-plus jobs that could have been lost to Kootenai County and our local economy.
