VANDALS: Can’t destroy memories

It is with great sadness that I’m writing in regard to the article of April 16 of the damage to the Anne Frank Memorial in Phippeny Park.

Several generations of my family attended school in what is now the park, and I live a couple blocks away. I enjoy driving by and seeing families enjoy the playground.

The tiny-minded person who destroyed a living tree will not destroy my family memories of school in what is now Phippeny Park. Shame on you.
