Toy store offering v-shopping, curbside pickup
For those toying with the idea of adding some fun to their lives, Figpickels Toy Emporium is ready to help.
The downtown toy shop is taking customers on virtual guided tours through the store via video chat, giving shoppers engaging experiences as they see toys and games demonstrated in real time. The v-shopping experience has come about as coronavirus closures are keeping people from visiting the store in person.
Those interested in v-shopping at Figpickels just need to message the toy store on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Figpickels or call the store at 208-667-2800 to set up an appointment. The sessions average about a half hour and entire families have enjoyed participating.
“It’s not boring online shopping. It’s some cool interactive middle ground that seems to have hit the mark,” said owner Brett Sommer. “It’s something the whole family can have fun with.”
