SHERIFF: Consider some facts

Reading about the reasons for electing Kim Edmondson for Sheriff, I have to react.

Recently a writer said Kim was born and raised in Kootenai County. That is not true. She moved here as an adult. And, do we want someone who has had a part in ruining a career of a man who worked for the Sheriff’s Department for 34 years? A man with a flawless reputation, who served in many departments during his career.

Recently, a federal judge ruled that what the Sheriff’s office did to that employee, including Kim’s significant involvement, will be examined at trial. Not a well known fact, but true, none the less. Do you think she is the best candidate to run our Sheriff’s department? It doesn’t appear so if one counts the support for another candidate given by all the groups representing the men and women who do the actual work ... like the Deputy Sheriff’s Association, CDA Police Association and various fire department unions. Check the facts before you cast your vote.
