Health officials report 2 more COVID-19 cases

For the third consecutive day, Panhandle Health District has reported two new cases of COVID-19 in Kootenai County.

The total now is 56 in Kootenai County and 60 in the five northern counties combined. Bonner County has four confirmed cases.

Also today, Panhandle said two other key statistics remained steady. So far, 37 confirmed cases have improved enough so that their medical condition no longer needs to be monitored, and a total of five COVID-19 patients have been hospitalized at some point.

The region has not yet had a confirmed death attributed to COVID-19.
