BORAH: About that goal

| April 22, 2020 1:00 AM

After reading the article regarding Borah’s proposed transformation I questioned this: “Our goal is for Borah to become a school of pervasive hope, contagious joy and academic excellence.” Isn’t that the goal for every school in District 271?

If Borah does not now meet that goal, why not? How does changing the school’s name improve it? Much of the rhetoric sounds like typical academic feel good speech rather than something that after a long 5-year run could be reviewed for efficient use of those “free” federal funds.

I am confused. Also, I hope Councilor Lauren Mills does not teach English while ending a sentence with “at”.
