Leadership event coming straight to your place
In the midst of a pandemic, many online experiences give listeners stuck at home the ability to stream live events.
Coeur d’Alene’s Innovation Collective wants to make the virtual experience more than that. They believe it can be a platform for collaboration with others who strive to use their time productively during the stay-at-home order.
On Friday and Saturday, Innovation Collective will live stream their spring Leadership Network Summit from 6-9 p.m. featuring presentations by entrepreneurs Di-Ann Eisnor and Tommy Ahlquist.
Held quarterly, the summits allow participants to recharge and inspire their personal and professional lives, while celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit at the heart of Innovation Collective.
"Our goal when people walk away from this event is that they have a different view on their life," said Chris Cochran, VP of Communities at Innovation Collective. "I want them to feel they have an opportunity to interact with these presenters."
Eisnor will describe her previous efforts as head of communities at WeWork, one of the largest coworking space providers in the world. She also served as head of cities for Google Maps, and oversaw the mapping company Waze's platform.
Ahlquist will describe the decisions that led to his 2018 campaign for Idaho governor and his knowledge about the medical technology industry. Ahlquist owns a hospital and medical technology venture fund.
The event, Cochran said, is really about storytelling. It provides a platform for two highly successful entrepreneurs to tell their stories in a way the propels listeners to tell their own.
“What patterns did they develop in their life that makes them a successful human being?” Cochran asked, saying a large part of Innovation Collective’s philosophy is to encourage people to stop and think about their lives and work.
“Stop. Reflect. Am I going where I want to go?” Cochran said. “Let’s move forward with dreams, visions, and clear goals.”
