Thanks to the community

Since the activation of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, resources suddenly became strained. Personal protective equipment, paper towels and even hand sanitizer evaporated seemingly overnight. Without the invaluable help of the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Coeur d’Alene, who not only became a hub for community donations but also staffed the donation center, resources for first responders could have vanished.

Lifesaving equipment arrived on a daily basis. As soon as items came in they went out. The staff at the Salvation Army Kroc Center painstakingly sanitized each item as it arrived. In addition, each item was given to essential public servants and health care workers to ensure the safest environment possible for those serving on the front lines during this pandemic.

So again, we at the EOC can’t say THANK YOU enough to the countless volunteers at the Salvation Army Kroc Center who stepped up to help us during our community’s time of need.
