The citizens of Kootenai County have a great opportunity to vote for a professional leader in the Sheriff’s Office, that being Kim Edmondson. Kim brings a proven track record rising from detention deputy to captain within the department. She also brings a historical perspective which is crucial to making timely decisions.

It is critically important, in times of crisis, to have already developed a trusting relationship with other leaders in the criminal justice field, i.e., the courts, the prosecutor’s office, probation, parole, coroner’s office, as well as other professionals who are vital to a fair criminal justice system. Kim has already developed all of these local professional relationships.

I have 42 years of law enforcement experience with more than 33 years in supervisory or command level and I have witnessed many accomplished officers. I have known Kim for almost 20 years and I can attest that she is one of the very best law enforcement professionals that I have encountered.
