First COVID-19 death in Stevens County

Northeast Tri County Health District in Stevens County, Wash. has reported that a patient with COVID-19 has died — the first death from the virus in that county.

The patient was previously in critical condition.

As of April 13, there have been a total of 10,508 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 509 deaths in the state of Washington. There are seven confirmed cases in Stevens County, as well as one confirmed case in Pend Oreille County.
