Little: Avoid crowded church pews on Easter
Idaho Gov. Brad Little shared an Easter Sunday message on Friday and urged residents to enjoy “a day of quiet, personal reflection and prayer.”
“People of faith naturally call upon God during times of distress, including now as we are experiencing a worldwide pandemic caused by COVID-19,” he wrote.
He said on Sunday, he and his wife, Teresa, will attend church services remotely by themselves, but still together with friends and community.
“Yes, we would like to worship in our traditional fashion, but these are unique times and unique circumstances,” Little wrote. “Rather than being surrounded by friends and families in crowded church pews, this Easter Sunday will be a day of quiet, personal reflection and prayer.”
He also wrote that with coronavirus, people must keep their faith as well as keep their distance.
“When we do, we love God and we love our neighbors,” Little wrote.
