PARKS: Mind the mess, mates

| April 10, 2020 1:00 AM

We moved here from Lake Tahoe, Nev., just over a year ago. While hiking trails at the lake, I was disappointed to see all the dog poop on the beautiful trails. I see it’s universal!

While hiking a back trail at Black Bay Park in Post Falls (I like to call it the enchanted forest, but it is not so enchanted anymore), as people won’t clean up after their dogs and leave trash behind. Also, to my horror, people have hung beer cans on the branches of trees by the cliff, which I am unable to get down.

Is this supposed to be funny? I’m not amused. During my short hike today I filled up an 8-gallon garbage bag with beer cans, water bottles and plastic debris. Can’t everyone work together and keep our lovely parks clean? It’s not that hard to do, or is it?
