Woman dies in US-95 crash

A Sandpoint woman died in a Tuesday night crash on northbound US-95 at Careywood Road, north of Athol.
Jasmine G. Dandurand, 35, of Sandpoint, was traveling northbound in a silver 2000 Nissan Maxima when she failed to negotiate a left turn.
The vehicle entered the northbound ditch and turned sideways, striking a telephone pole and then began to roll.
Dandurand was not wearing a seatbelt, police said, and was ejected from the vehicle.
Idaho State Police responded to the scene at 8:30 p.m. Dandurand was declared dead on the scene. The northbound lane was blocked for approximately three hours.
Next of kin has been notified.
