VOTE: Leaders for tough times

| April 7, 2020 1:00 AM

We are in rough financial times for our families and state. Voting for the best people for the tough job ahead is our community responsibility. Therefore, I am supporting Nick Henderson for County Commissioner and Marc Eberlein for State Senator.

Marc Eberlein, our former County Commissioner, has the right skills for the State Senate. We need experienced men like Marc to bring Idaho out of a pending recession. He has built successful small businesses and will be part of helping their recovery. His businesses were built on his work ethic. They were not inherited or provided by family. Marc witnessed, firsthand, how state regulations and unfunded mandates place a financial burden on the county taxpayers. Marc’s proven ability to govern responsibly will be of great value in Boise.

Nick Henderson is needed as County Commissioner. The reserve county fund is extremely low. It will take new leadership to get us through a possible recession and not raise taxes. Some present commissioners need to be replaced with younger leaders, looking out for our families vs. just growing government. Nick served his country as a U.S. Army combat team leader. He has the leadership skills and discipline for this tough job. Nick was born in Kootenai County and wants to maintain the present zoning and safeguard the right to a rural lifestyle. My slogan is “Nick in the nick of time.”
