CHILDREN: Thanks to those who devote time
To quote a ’60s song, “Don’t it always seem to go, that you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.”
Several weeks ago my life was filled with activities for my 3- and 6-year-old grandsons. Kindergarten at Sorensen School, preschool at Little Folks, programs at the library, Cub Scouts, afternoons at AvantCoeur Gymnastics, play dates, swim lessons at Hamm Swim School, open gym and swimming at the Kroc, play at our great parks, and child-centered worship at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
All of those are on hold now and I marvel at the richness of it all. Thanks to all the people of Coeur d’Alene who devote their energy and expertise to our children, and let’s hope we can return to paradise soon.
