Roger F. Tanner

Roger F. Tanner lost his battle with accidental burns on March 24, 2020, at Harborview Hospital in Seattle. He was born to Francis and Grace Tanner in Oct., 1943 and joined brother, Clyde.

He was raised in Dalton Gardens, Idaho, and attended school there and in Coeur d’Alene.

He married Kathy Kilborn in November of 1964 and celebrated 55 years together with her.

Roger was a heavy equipment mechanic on the North Slope in Alaska and then owned his own mobile equipment repair business T-N-T Repair and worked on all kinds of equipment for loggers and ranchers.

Rogers’ passion was Studebakers and other classic cars, and he enjoyed adventurous RZR rides with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Ranee (Larry) Woodall; grandchildren Shelby and Alex; sister, Maryanne Dinning; brothers Marvin “Shorty” (Cyndi) Tanner and Clyde (Arlis). He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Terry; and son, Jarrod.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date due to the coronavirus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society. English Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
