TRUMP: Greenland a good investment

| September 11, 2019 1:00 AM

I enjoyed reading Mr. Jim Jones’s article last week, and his thoughts on why President Trump wants to buy Greenland to make golf courses for his friends.

Archaeologists discovered some time ago that at one time in history, food was cultivated in Greenland. Therefore, I would like to offer a second option as to the reason of buying Greenland. Since food will no longer be grown in the rest of the world, President Trump would be able to offer his golfing friends fresh produce.

There is one thing I have a difficult time wrapping my brain around. No one has been more outspoken about global warming, caused by man, than Gore and Obama. Yet shortly after Gore left office, he bought an $8 million waterfront estate in California. And just recently, Obama paid $15 million for a waterfront estate on the East Coast. If 20 years from now both of these estates will be under water, what do they know that most of us don’t? We assume they wouldn’t buy into a poor investment. Is this a sign that I should sell our home here and buy a house on Long Beach?
