Courtesy photo The Timbers North FC 09 Boys Green soccer team walked away with second place in the Pend Orielle Cup. On Saturday morning, the team faced off against the Spokane Sounders B2009 Valley Rave. Grant Johnson and Mason Taylor were keepers for the game. The Timbers charged into the first half with a hat trick by Ayden Garayalde and another goal scored by Collin Simon for a 4-0 lead at the end of the half. In the second half, the got yet another goal by Ayden Garayalde and Ethan Luna with two goals with an assist from Jacob Melun. The Timbers won 7-1. Game No. 2 on Saturday was a 1-0 Timbers win over IYESA B09 Bresson, on a goal by Brooks Judd. On day two, the Timbers beat Flathead Rapids Black of Kalispell 7-0. Grant Johnson had an assist to Archer Coburn for a goal, Rowan Wyatt with an assist to Ayden Garayalde, and a 3rd goal by Mason Taylor. In the second half, the Timbers boys got goals from Jacob Melun, Jackson Duvall, Mason Taylor, and Mason Taylor, with an assist to Brooks Judd. Archer Coburn, Grant Johnson, Mason Taylor and Jacob Melun teamed for the shutout in goal. In the championship game, Flathead Green scored the lone goal on a penalty kick for a 1-0 win over the Timbers. Courtesy photo The Thorns North FC 11 Girls soccer team took second place in the 2019 Pend Oreille Cup in Sandpoint with a record of 3 wins 1 loss. The Thorns beat the Sandpoint Strikers FC White 3-2, on goals by Evelyn Haycraft, Brightyn Gatten and Vivian Hartzell. the Thorns lost 3-1 to the EW Surf SC G11/12. Riley Greene had the lone Thorns goal. The Thorns beat the Thorns North FC G12 7-1. Kylie Lorona scored 3 goals for the Thorns, Brightyn Gatten 2 goals and Emily Hackett one. The final game was a 3-2 win by the Thorns over We Huffman 2011. Amelia Liddiard, Vivian Hartzell and Brightyn Gatten scored for the Thorns. Courtesy photo The Timbers North FC 06 Boys White soccer team traveled to Sandpoint last weekend to compete in the Pend Oreille Cup. Saturday morning they beat Surf Sorenson Surf from Eastern Washington 3-2 after trailing 2-0 in the first half. Timbers goals were made by Gabriel Jones, Bryant Donovan and Spencer Nelson, who was assisted by Landon Miller. On Saturday afternoon the team played Flathead Valley United Green of Kalispell, Mont., to a scoreless tie. Timbers goalkeeper Grant Schofield stopped at least 13 shots. On Sunday morning the Timbers lost 3-2 to the Nelson Selects of Nelson, British Columbia. Ari Rumpler had a goal and an assist for the Timbers, and Devin Pearson had a goal. The Timbers’ final game was a 6-0 loss to FC Spokane 06B Vasquez. Wood won the girls race at the Timberlake Farragut Invitational last Saturday with a time of 19 minutes, 01 second over the 3.1-mile course. She helped lead the Trojan girls team to a first-place finish.

Timbers North FC 07 Boys Red: The Timbers defeated NW United BU13 Red from Bellingham, Wash., 7-0 last Saturday at Lake City High School. Timbers goals were scored by Liam Martin (3), Ronan Sternberg (2), Cody Kemp (1) and Lukas Ruchti with a penalty kick.

Thorns North FC 08 Girls Red: The Thorns hosted Nortac Sparta G08 Red on Saturday and won 3-2. Allison Carrico, Kambrya Powers and Ella Pearson each had 1 goal for the Thorns, and Nora Ryan had 1 assist.

Timbers North FC 06 Boys Red: The Timbers opened their season with a 2-2 tie hosting Washington Rush B06 Nero B. Kason Pintler and Connor Jump each had a goal for the Timbers, and Kai Delio and Lachlan May each had an assist.
