Therapist sentenced for affair with teen patient

A Coeur d’Alene therapist was sentenced this morning to 20 years in prison for having an affair with a suicidal teenage patient.

Jeffrey Worley, 44, a local therapist who pleaded guilty to having sex with a 17-year-old during an affair that lasted more than a year, was sentenced to a fixed five-year prison term followed by 15 years indeterminate.

The relationship that began in 2016 continued until the summer of 2017.
