Cardinals sweep NAIA Montana State-Northern

GREAT FALLS, Mont. — Journey Tupea and Taylor Foster had eight kills each for North Idaho College in a 25-17, 25-17, 25-20 sweep of NAIA Montana State-Northern in the University of Providence Fall Classic on Friday afternoon.

“It was a great day for the girls today,” NIC coach Kelsey Stanley said. “The girls did a nice jog executing what we have been working on the last couple of weeks. It was so fun to see it all come together.”

Tupea also had 16 digs, Kynzey Mitzel 15 digs and Hokulea Vargas 28 assists for NIC (8-1), which concludes the tournament against Montana Tech today at 9 a.m.
